Tomorrow evening, Falkirk face Celtic Colts in the newly named, Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup, formally the Scottish Challenge Cup. Celtic got to this stage by beating Queen’s Park on penalties although they looked a bit nervy towards the end after Queen’s park pulled a dominant Celtic lead back to 2-2. The Colts won 4-3 in the penalty shootout. There aren’t many Celtic fans travelling to the Falkirk stadium as the first team are playing CFR Cluj in the qualifying stage for the Champions League so many fans will be staying at home to watch the match on TV. Because of this, Celtic won’t play with all of their colts squad as some are registered in the 23 man squad for the Champions League tie. They are still expected to field a strong team though with many players that have appeared more than once for the Celtic first team. The likes of Ewan Henderson and Jack Aitchison as well as new first team signing, Luca Connell. Falkirk have also strengthened their squad this week with the addition of Gary Miller who is likely to come into the Falkirk defence for his debut tomorrow. Falkirk are expected to make several changes to the squad to give game time to more players and to rest the regular starters.
